برای یادگیری یک زبان خارجی، مهارت‌های مختلفی را باید تقویت نمود؛ از افزایش دایره لغات و اصطلاحات گرفته تا

رعایت دستور زبان، تمرین سبک نگارش، مهارت در سخن گفتن و مهارت در درک شنیداری زبان و غیره. برای تقویت

مهارت درک شنیداری، گوش دادن مداوم و مستمر به برنامه‌های صوتی مانند مکالمات رادیو و تلویزیون یا دیدن فیلم به

زبان انگلیسی (یا کانال‌های ویدئویی یوتیوب برای آموزش زبان) می‌تواند کمک زیادی به شما در تقویت مهارت شنیدن

بکند.

برنامه‌های صوتی (مخصوصاً اگر مناسب با سطح مهارت شنیداری شما تنظیم شده باشند) اثرگذاری بیشتری خواهند
