ابهامات صفت و قید

۱. صفت ، اسم و ضمیر را تغییر می دهد.

His recent(adjective) accident(noun) caused a sudden(adjective) change(noun) in his behavior.

He(pronoun) isintelligent(adjective).

۲. قیدها، فعل را تغییر می دهند.

He had(verb) accident recently(adverb), and his behavior changed(verb)suddenly(adverb).

He spoke(verb) intelligently(adverb).

۳. همچنین قیدها، صفت را نیز تغییر می دهند.

He grew an especially(adverb) small(adverb) tree.

He was a highly(adverb) motivated(adjective) young man.

It was a cleverly(adverb) planned(adjective) operation.

۴. قیدها همچنین بقیه ی قیدها را نیز تغییر می دهند.

She could run very(adverb) quickly(adverb

).

نکته :

۱. اکثر قیدها به ly ختم می شوند.

۲. بعضی لغات شکل یکسانی برای هر دو فرم صفت و قید دارند :

Late , fast , hard

۳. صفت good برای تبدیل به قید بصورت well می شود.

Right: he worked hard at the factory all day.

E. Wrong: you should order that book real soon.

Right: you should order that book really soon.

F. Wrong: my sister plays the piano very good.

Right: my sister plays the piano very well.

تمرین :در جلوی هر جمله که درست است کلمه ی c ‎ و در کنار هر کدام که اشتباه است کلمه ی x قرار دهید.
